60th The King’s Royal Rifle Corps, two extremely rare officer’s shako plates, c1831-1835 and c1835-1844, the former in die-stamped blackened brass (all rubbed off) is described in KK p50, complete with separate crown for the cockade (this probably not the right pattern), the plate features the Peninsula battle honours, unit number, title and motto, two copper loop fasteners; the second plate in die-stamped bronze is of the same design and size but now with the crown over the top Peninsula scroll and the whole badge with three-quarter laurel wreath surround, top section on the right hand side of the wreath missing, two copper loop fasteners, good overall condition apart from stated defect (2) £300-400
