The East Essex Militia, a superb officer’s rectangular shoulder belt plate, c1840-1855, the silver plated back plate with cut silver star overlay and further overlays of a crowned gilt Garter with scroll ‘EAST ESSEX’ below, centrally the red enamel cross of St. George on a silver domed background, usual four fasteners to the reverse, mint state £500-700
