1914-15 Star (4508 L. Cpl. G. Bailey, R. War. R.); together with memorial plaque (George Bailey); silver peace medal, obverse with Britannia placing a laurel on a kneeling soldiers head ‘Served in the Great War 1914-1919’, reverse with wreath surrounding ‘A token of appreciation from Ansley’, with straight brooch bar suspension, now detached, this with enamelled blue border and inscribed ‘Cpl. Bailey, G.R., R. War. Regt.’, extremely fine (3) £40-50

Corporal George Bailey was born and lived in Anstey, Warwickshire and enlisted at Nuneaton. He was killed in action France and Flanders 5 April 1916 whilst serving with the 1st Battalion, Royal Warwickshire Regiment.
