Second Lieutenant Frederick William Gordon Bedford was commissioned into the Black Watch in April 1918, promoted Lieutenant October 1919, seconded to R.A.F. (Flying Officer) in January 1922 and was killed in a flying accident 23 August 1922 whilst serving in Egypt.
