Second Lieutenant Louis Wilfred Laird, Northumberland Fusiliers attached 23rd Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers, a native of Newcastle-upon-Tyne was killed in action France and Flanders 2 September 1918, he is buried in Le Grand Beaumart British Cemetery, Steenwerck.
