Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 4 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, S.A.1901, S.A. 1902 (33551 Pte. E. Adams, 61st Coy. Imp. Yeo.) the dated clasps attached by wire rivets, good very fine £70-100

Private Edward Adams was born near Portadown in County Armagh and enlisted into the 61st Company (South Irish) Imperial Yeomanry at Belfast, aged 20 years, in February 1901. Severely wounded at Potchefstrom on 23rd May following, he was discharged at Elandsfontein in June 1902, ‘to take up employment with the Johannesburg Police’; sold with copy service papers, confirming wounds.
