Baker Edwin Moore was born in Portsmouth in January 1856. He joined the service as a Domestic 3rd Class aboard HMS Hector in March 1874 but was invalided from her in January 1875. Moore re-entered the Navy aboard HMS Euphrates as an Assistant Baker in July 1877, and was advanced to Baker in September 1879. Subsequently served in HMS Humber and HMS Himalaya, in which ship he died, 9 April 1884.
