Portrait Photograph of General Sir Herbert MacPherson, V.C., K.C.B., K.C.S.I., in uniform, wearing his orders and medals, mounted on card, 252 x 194mm., a little soiled; a ‘scrap-book’, 315 x 200mm., with red and brown leather covers, inscribed with gilt lettering, ‘Press Notices on the late General Sir Herbert MacPherson, K.C.B., K.C.S.I., V.C. October 20th 1886’, containing many press-cuttings, some splitting and deterioration of cuttings and pages to which they were affixed, some wear to cover, an interesting ‘V.C.’ related curio probably commissioned by the deceased family, worn and internally fragile
