Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 2 clasps, Defence of Mafeking, Transvaal (5 Serjt. J. L. Parker, S.A.C.) good very fine £800-1000

Sergeant James Law Parker served in the Reserve Division, South African Constabulary, and was one of the 4 officers and 10 other ranks of the S.A.C. to be awarded the ‘Defence of Mafeking’ clasp. He also served as ‘Corporal 388’ in the Protectorate Regiment. Through his service in the latter regiment, he was also entitled to the ‘Orange Free State’ clasp. With copied roll extracts and copied record of service.
