Sold with three pages of copied service papers, from which the following information is extracted: ‘Studied for four years prior to joining up for the 1st Div. Civil Service under a private tutor. Obtained the certificate of the Pelman Institute with 99.5% marks on the whole course. Since joining R.N.A.S.:- Passed out top from the R.M. College Greenwich, also obtained a special recommendation in navigation therefrom.’
