William James McLaren Humble, born Embleton, Northumberland, enlisted Alnwick, Private 21st Bn. Manchester Regt., killed in action, France & Flanders, 24 October 1917, formerly 29348 Northumberland Fusiliers. He is commemorated by name on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Zonnebeke, Belgium.
