Hubert Grew served in the ranks of the King’s Royal Rifle Corps from 3 January 1898. He was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in the regiment in March 1915, and attached to the 7th Battalion. He was killed in action while serving with that battalion, at Ypres, on 2 July 1915, and is buried in Bedford House Cemetery at Zillebeke. Sold with copy service papers and a large War Office correspondence file.
