Sergeant Leslie George Browning was awarded the East and West Afica Medal, with clasp for 1897-98 along with 19 other members of the regiment for their services in the construction of telegraph lines from Lagos to Saki, Iseyhim, Jebba and along the river Niger towards Lokoja. Sold with 11 pages of copied service papers and further research detail.
