Order of Glory, 3rd Class (No. 662392) awarded by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviets, 30 May 1951, to Rifleman Mikail Andreyevitch Korsun. Serving as a rifleman with the 148th Rifle Regiment, 47th Rifle Division, on the 1st Baltic Front. He was born in 1906.

During the Great Patriotic War, Rifleman Korsun took an active part in the freeing of the Soviet Motherland in the offensive into Latvia. On the 20th February 1945, in an action some 35 kilometers from Riga, Korsun was badly wounded in his left leg, evacuated to a field hospital where it became neccessary to amputate his left leg. He had twice been wounded during the war and after his amputation it was entered on his service papers that he was an invalid of the 3rd class.
