Henry O’Connor was born in Newry, Co. Down, lived in Coatbridge, Lanarkshire and enlisted at Hamilton, Lanarkshire. Serving with the 1st Battalion Royal Irish Fusiliers, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 12 September 1914. Serving with the battalion he was killed in action on 2 September 1918. He was buried in the Wulverghem-Lindenhoek Road Military Cemetery, Heuvelland, Belgium. With copied research including m.i.c., roll extracts and a copied photograph.
