Alexander Hayden was born in Dunfermline, Fife, lived at Lochore, Fife and enlisted at Lochgelly, Fife. Serving with the Scots Guards, he was killed in action, France/Flanders on 12 June 1915. He was buried in the Vielle-Chapelle New Military Cemetery, Lacoutre.
