Stoker 1st Class Anthony Cumming, R.N., joined Hood Battalion, R.N.D., on 17 September 1914. Serving with the battalion in Gallipoli, he was wounded in action on 4 June 1915, receiving a gunshot wound to his left shoulder. His wife, Jeannie Cumming, lived at 22 Holyrood Road, Edinburgh.
