Robert Paxton Wright was born on 14 March 1881 in the Parish of Prestonkirk, Co. Haddington. Paxton probably enlisted into the Lothians & Berwickshire Yeomanry (redesignated as Lothian & Border Horse in 1908) in about 1905. Serving with them in the Great War, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war as a Saddler Serjeant on 22 September 1916. Wright was awarded T.F.E.M. by Army Order 332 of November 1917. He was also entitled to the 1914-15 Star, British War and Victory Medals. With copied research.
