Wallace Edward George Playle lived at Belvedere, Kent and enlisted at Camberwell. Serving with the 1st/21st London Regiment (First Surrey Rifles), he entered the France/Flanders theare of war on 10 October 1915. He was killed in action on 8 October 1916. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial. His medals re-issued in 1920.

Walter Sydney Stevens was born in Wallington, Surrey and enlisted at Epsom. Serving with the 9th Battalion East Surrey Regiment, he was killed in action on 26 September 1915, aged 18 years. He was buried in the Cabaret-Rouge British Cemetery, Souchez, Pas de Calais, France. He was the son of Walter and H. Louisa Stevens of Grovehurst Cottages, Pembury, Tunbridge Wells.
