Private Joseph Rowan, 4th Battalion Canadian Pioneers, was killed in action, France/Flanders, 23 August 1916, aged 50 years. He was buried in the Ridge Wood Military Cemetery, Ieper, Belgium. He was the son of John and Mary Rowan of Wolverhampton, England.
