Percy Samuel Parry was born in Caldicott, Monmouthshire and enlisted at Chepstow. Serving with the 1st Battalion Monmouthshire Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 8 May 1915, aged 20 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial. He was the son of Mr and Mrs Parry of Church Road, Caldicott, Newport, Monmouthshire.
