Henry Ernest Pritlove was born in Hornsey, lived in Kingsway and enlisted at London. He served initially with the 6th Battalion London Regiment. Serving with the 18th Battalion (London Irish Rifles), he was killed in action on 31 August 1918, aged 19 years. He was buried in the Sailly-Saillisel British Cemetery, Somme, France. He was the son of Henry Joseph Pritlove (late Queen’s Bays) and Frances Pritlove, of 29 Little Britain, London, E.C.1.
