Percy Shirley enlisted on 16 October 1914 and served with the Royal Warwickshire Regiment, entering the France/Flanders theatre of war on 22 March 1915. . He was discharged on 20 August 1918 due to wounds and was awarded the Silver War Badge. With copied roll extracts and m.i.c.
