Horace Parsons was born in St. Lawrence, Northampton and enlisted at Northampton. Serving with the 1st Battalion Northamptonshire Regiment, he died of wounds, France/Flanders, 31 October 1914. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.
