Memorial Plaque 1914-18 (2) (Charles Poultney; Harold Edward Poultney) good very fine (2) £60-80

Charles William Poultney was born in and enlisted at Northampton. Serving with the 2nd Battalion King’s Own (Royal Lancaster Regiment), he was killed in action on 20 February 1915, aged 26 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.

Able Seaman Harold Edward Poultney, R.N. was killed while serving aboard the destroyer H.M.S.
Tartar, 17 June 1917, aged 20 years. His name is commemorated on the Portsmouth Naval memorial.

The two brothers were the sons of Charles William and Harriet Barnet Poultney of Kingsthorpe Road, Northampton.
