Corporation of Glasgow Bravery Medal, 1st type, silver (John Gibson) complete with ‘Gallantry’ brooch bar, edge bruising, very fine £140-180

John Gibson, c/o McGuire, 65 Gorbals Street, Glasgow, was awarded the Glasgow Bravery Medal on 11 June 1935. Together with Constable John McLauchlin, Central Division, he rescued a man (who subsequently died) from the River Clyde at Albert Bridge on 30 April 1935.
