Royal Navy L.S. & G.C., V.R., narrow suspension (Ths. Moore, Pte., 44th Co., R.M.L.I., 21 Yrs.), engraved naming, edge nicks, good very fine and rare to the Royal Marines £400-500

Thomas Moore was born at Swineford, Co. Mayo in August 1834 and entered the Royal Marines in June 1854. He subsequently witnessed active service in the Baltic, aboard H.M.S. Pembroke, including the bombardment of Sveaborg, and served briefly off China 1858-59 aboard the Vulcan and Perserverance. He was awarded his L.S. & G.C. on 22 June 1875; sold with copied research.
