John Wilfred Ellery was born in St. George’s-in-the-East, London and lived and enlisted at Marylebone. Serving with the 2/19th Battalion London Regiment (St. Pancras) he was killed in action in Palestine on 22 March 1918, aged 20 years. He was buried in the Jerusalem War Cemetery. He was the son of John Triggs and Mary Ann Ellery of 153 Seymour Place, London.
