Angus Morrison, a Ward of the Lawrence Military Asylum, enlisted into the Devonshire Regiment on 13 November 1882, aged 15(?) years. He served as a Drummer, 1885-94, serving in India, November 1882-January 1893 and Egypt, January-April 1893. During the former, he served with the Irrawaddy Column in Upper Burma, 1890(?)-92. Morrison was discharged at Exeter on 31 March 1905 having given three months notice; at which time his trade was stated to be a ‘Musician’. With copied service papers.
