War Medal 1939-45, silver; Canadian Voluntary Service Medal 1939-45, with overseas clasp, both in their card boxes of issue with Minister of National Defence forwarding slip, together with related Canadian Memorial Cross, G.V.R., the reverse officially inscribed, ‘C.31215 Pte. N. J. Thomas’, in its box of issue, extremely fine (3) £40-60

Nelson Joseph Thomas, a native of Cornwall, Ontario, died as a result of injuries received after being run over by a bus in Oxford Street, London on 13 September 1941. A member of 23 Canadian Field Ambulance at the time, he was buried in Brookwood Cemetery, Surrey; sold with copied service record, which includes extensive witness statements and medical reports from the Middlesex Hospital.
