William Ernest Hurworth, who was born in July 1913, enlisted in the Sherwood Foresters (Territorials) in June 1936, and first witnessed active service with the B.E.F. in 1940. He was released from service in October 1945; sold with two wartime portrait photographs, his original Soldier’s Service and Pay Book, and named Dunkerque Medal certificate (No. 22888).
