Green served in the Hawke Battalion on the outbreak of hostilities and was awarded the 1914 Star with clasp.

George McBain was born in Glasgow in November 1894 and entered the R.N.R. on 26 August 1915, thereafter serving for most of the War based out in Egypt. He was demobilised in January 1919; sold with copied service papers.
