18th Century Tokens, Middlesex [incorporating London], Lutwyche’s Princess of Wales imitation Halfpence, 1795 (2), sea bathing edge, 6.94g/8h (DH 982, recté 964, not 963), brighton edge, 6.79g/6h (DH 982a, recté 964, not 963) [2]. Only mediocre but both of the highest rarity; perhaps the only specimens available to commerce
£50-100

Provenance: F.S. Cokayne Collection [982a from Baldwin February 1940].

Despite the worn state of both tokens it is possible to confirm that the reverse die deployed on them is that of DH 964, not 963
