The bank’s partners, Thomas Box, Robert Gray and George Parrott, between them served eight times as mayors of Buckingham between 1809 and 1840. The bank became part of the Bucks & Oxon Union Bank in 1853, which was subsequently taken over by Lloyds in 1902
