Catuvellauni, Sego, Stater, TASCIO in central panel, four-spoked wheel, annulets and pellets above and below, rev. horseman right, right arm raised carrying carnyx, [SEGO] in front, four-spoked wheel behind, 5.18g/6h (BMC 1625-7; VA 1845; S 259). Pale yellow gold, about very fine, extremely rare; probably the only specimen available to commerce £3,000-3,500

Although seven other specimens of this coin are known, none is thought to be available to collectors; five are in museums, the sixth in an important private collection and the whereabouts of the seventh unknown to the cataloguer, most probably still with the finder.
