WORLD ART MEDALS France, “Abeille”, (male bee), an unusual boldly worked study in bronze, uniface, without signature. Extremely fine (£40-60)

The identity of the maker is not known to the consignor. A bold impressive study, perhaps c.1925, perhaps sold as a paperweight, in which case a bee, as a symbol of industry, would be very appropriate choice of design.
