Machine trials by Batley and Greenwood are known for Bombay, Shanghai and elsewhere. They are considered rare but appear on the market from time to time (cf. W.J. Noble collection, part B, 1507 & 1538). The first example of this trial seen by the cataloguer and probably of very high rarity.
