Victoria (1837-1901), Young head, Shilling, 1851 (ESC 1298). A lovely example, practically mint state, with detail crisp and excellent surfaces, very lightly cleaned; the date very rare, extremely rare in this grade (£300-350)

SC, Unc= £500; Seaby SC, Unc = £400; unpriced in this grade in CMV. The Willis specimen (lot 669), was described as only “about extremely fine.”
