Buckinghamshire, Slough, William Till and John Peckham, Proof mule Halfpenny, 1794, in silver, arms of the Till family, rev. arms of the Peckham family, edge plain, 11.62g/12h (DH 25; Preston-Morley 1049, this piece). Adhesive remains on obverse and a minor rim nick at 12 o’clock, otherwise very fine, reverse better and toned, with the usual flaw on the rim, of the highest rarity; only one other specimen known

Contrary to the note in Davisson’s 1990 revision of D & H, this coin and the other specimen (M. Rasmussen FPL 8, Summer 2005, no. 6, now in a private collection) demonstrates that DH 25 does exist in silver
