Buckinghamshire, Slough, William Till, Proof Halfpenny, 1794, in silver, arms of the Till family, rev. lion rampant to right, edge plain, 11.75g/12h (DH 21; Preston-Morley 1038, this piece). Reverse die flaw well advanced with cud appearing by pe of halfpenny, minor marks, some staining and the remains of an old paper label adhering to obverse, otherwise extremely fine and toned, of the highest rarity; only one other specimen known in silver £500-700
