Provenance: From a 19th century collection; Spink Auction 92, 9 June 1992, lot 5; W.J. Noble Collection, Part I, Noble Numismatics Pty Auction 58B (Melbourne), 7-8 July 1998, lot 16; bt A. Davisson September 1998.

The Davisson ticket and envelope with this coin allude to it once being in the Hamer and Waite-Sanderson collections, which is unproven and perhaps a confusion with the provenance to lot 14
