A Great War ‘Western Front’ M.M. awarded to Private W. Gill, Liverpool Regiment, killed in action, 24 October 1918

William Gill was born in Redruth, Cornwall and lived and enlisted at Cardiff. Serving with the 1/5th Battalion Liverpool Regiment, he was awarded the Military Medal for bravery in action. Whilst serving with the 13th Battalion Liverpool Regiment, he was killed in action in France/Flanders, on 24 October 1918. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Vis-en-Artois Memorial. With copied gazette extract.
