Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 2 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State (68640 Gnr. W. Dashwood, R.F.A.) good very fine £60-80

William Dashwood was born in Sandown, Isle of Wight. A Groom by occupation, he attested for service in the Royal Artillery on 7 September 1888. He served in Aden, February-December 1889 and India, December 1889-January 1896. Transferred to the Army Reserve in January 1896, he was recalled to Army Service during the Boer War and served in South Africa during January-June 1900. He was discharged having completed his limited period of engagement on 6 September 1901. Sold with copied service papers.
