Good Service Certificate (Army Form F.529), awarded to Sergeant Salvatore Demarco, 1st Battalion King’s Own Malta Regiment, 301 x 242mm., illuminated card, good condition, rare £80-100

Part printed and part inscribed ink, it reads, ‘This is to Certify that 3545 Sergeant Salvatore Demarco, 1st Bn. K.O. Malta Regiment, who was enlisted to serve in the Militia of the Island of Malta on the twenty-first day of June 1889, has been discharged on termination of engagement. He has served in the Militia 18 years. His conduct and character while in the Militia have been Exemplary, [signed], Malta, 20 June 1907’. On the back is a ‘Description on Discharge’, which lists his trade as ‘Messenger’.

Sergeant S. Demarco, 1st Battalion King’s Own Malta Regiment, was awarded the Militia Long Service Medal (not with lot), the award published in A.O. 189 of 1 August 1907.
