E. W. A. Judson served as a Special Manager, Court of Wards, in various localities, 1902-15. Serving as a Sergeant in the Gorakhpur Light Horse, he was part of the 1902 Indian Volunteer Coronation Contingent and was awarded the Coronation Medal 1902 in bronze. Later, as Troop Sergeant-Major in the United Provinces Light Horse he was awarded the Volunteer Force Long Service Medal, this published in I.A.O. 110 of 2 March 1908. With some copied research.
