J. Turner served in the Volunteers. In 1929 he was a Trooper in the Light Motor Patrol, being in the H.Q. Section at Binnaguri, having joined in August 1921. As a Trooper in the Northern Bengal Mounted Rifles, he was awarded the Volunteer Force Long Service Medal, published in I.A.O. 656 of October 1930. In civilian life he was a Superintendent with the Empire of India Company Ltd. With copied research.
