Malcolm Andrew Angus was employed as the General Manager of the firm of Fitch & Co. Ltd., of Mussoorie, c.1915 and was General Manager of Oakes & Co. Ltd., of Madras, c.1924. Both were firms of General Merchants, Chemists, Auctioneers, etc. He served in the ranks of the Volunteers before being commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the Mussoorie Volunteer Rifles in February 1915. On the creation of the Indian Defence Force in 1917, he was promoted and appointed a Lieutenant in the 9th Mussoorie Battalion, I.D.F., with seniority 1 April 1917. He ceased to serve in 1920. He was awarded the Volunteer Force Long Service Medal, published in I.A.O. 345 of 1921. With copied research.
