Charles Morseby was a Solicitor in India, qualifying in 1886 in India and in 1896 in England. He was a Partner in the firm of David, Brightwell and Moresby (sic) of Madras. In the 1920’s he was a Government Pleader in Madras and also a Government Solicitor. Serving in the Madras Volunteer Gurads, he was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant on 3 February 1900 and attained the rank of Major on 1 March 1912. He was awarded the Volunteer Force Long Service Medal, announced in I.A.O. 397 of June 1916. With copied research.
