W. E. Dean was employed in the Government Telegraph Office, listed as a Travelling Telegraph Manager at Agra in 1913, and the Telegraph Manager in Charge of Government Telegraph Office at Meerut in 1919. Awarded the Volunteer Force Long Service Medal in 1911 when a Serjeant in the Agra Volunteer Rifles, ref. I.A.O. 419 of August 1911. With some copied research.
