Sold with 14 letters home and several fragmentary letters, mainly written between December 1889 and July 1890, four from Fort White, Chin Hills, and ten from Myingyan, some with campaign commentary; also parchment certificate qualifying the recipient to ‘superintend the Cooking of a Regiment’, and the ‘weekly duty state’ handwritten roll of “E” or Captain W. F. White’s Company, 1st Bn. Cheshire Regiment, Belgaum, 27th April 1891’.
